Beaumond House Community Hospice is a registered charity that has been committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients with life limiting or terminal illnesses and their families living in Newark and district, since 1987.
70% of Beaumond Houses' patients suffer from cancer, but they also support patients with life limiting illnesses such as Parkinson's disease, Motor Neurone disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Each year the hospice provides care for over 400 patients and their families, supporting around 100 patients at any one time.
Beaumond House, like all community Hospices, is an extremely worthy cause and a real asset to the local community. However being a local charity does mean that it totally relies on fund raising and donations from the local community so support from the local community and local businesses is vital if we are to keep this valuable resource.
